Mugwump is currently in safe storage in Cape Town, complete with her own custom-made cover for body-work protection.

Mugwump turns 100 years old in 2030, and there is a tentative idea to try and get her to complete a third Trans Africa trip. This would be a first ever feat, and something worthwhile pursuing. Several challenges would need to be surmounted –

• Overhaul of the car to the best possible extent
• Collection of now scarce spares for the trip
• Political instability in some countries that need to be traversed
• General safety
• Need for self-contained back up vehicle
• Car trailer towed by back-up vehicle for emergency retrieval and safe overnight storage
• Willing team of drivers
• Funding!!
